We call for participants to join us in an open experiment....

This year, Art Harbour members; artists, designers, DJs, musicians, performers, scholars, students, will be coming from Hakodate, Sapporo, Kyoto, Tokyo, Sydney, Melbourne. In anticipation of the Typhoon one has no certainty what to expect until it hits. Same thing with Art Harbour in Shimokitazawa: we don't really know what we're going to be doing until we put our heads together and see what's possible. It's going to be a challenge.

This is project requires a collaboration on many levels. We want to build an environment of mutual learning, and we want to invite people with different skills and knowledges to join us. We will also need bilingual people (English and Japanese) to bridge the languages we'll be using. People who know Shimokitazawa. People who like finding things. People who make things, people who like playing with ideas.

his project will run from June 26 to July 2. The Urban Typhoon workshops are June 26-29, and the Cultural Typhoon Symposium from June 30 - July 2. During the symposium, we will take part in a panel discussion, and also have create some events (( workshops?? experiments?? )) around Shimokitazawa.
